installation quick and easy with the minimum of effort. Full details of tools required, and simple to follow instructions are enclosed with every pet
door.
Staywell pet doors fit the following:
• Metal UPVC and wood doors • Glass • Screen doors
• Walls • Sliding doors • Patio doors
It is recommended that pet doors which require installation into glass should be fitted by a glazier.
The 300, 400, 500 series and the 919 may be fitted with detachable tunnel sections allowing them to be installed anywhere from glass to thick
walls.
Extra tunnel sections are available from Staywell or your local stockist. The 600, 800 series and the 917 and 932 have adjustable fixed tunnel
sections allowing them to be fitted to most depths of door.
The 700 series are designed to fit into wall and doors but not glass. Two special fitting models, 700 for screen doors and the 710 for glass are
available.
The 200 series are designed with a slim profile for sliding doors and will fit both glass and wood.
how do I choose the right pet door for me and my pet ?
All Staywell pet doors allow your pet to go in or out with our unique two way flap system.
First, measure the shoulder width of your pet to determine which sizes of door in our range are suitable for your pet. Choose from
either small, medium, large or extra large sizes.
Next, decide on the level of security and control you will require. An Original pet door with an unbreakable tough polypropylene
security barrier or a sturdy Aluminium pet door with a metal locking barrier? Or a 4 Way Locking pet door which allows you to control your
pet’s access - in only - out only - opened - locked. Or one of our special models that allows your pet access with a
Magnetic collar key preventing stray pets from entering your home. Or an Infra-Red model that has special coded keys allowing only
your pet to enter the home - the ultimate in security.
Staywell’s extensive range enables a pet door to be fitted almost anywhere - through doors, windows and walls. Just decide which
area of your home your pet should have access to e.g. house,garage, outbuilding etc. then go ahead and install one. Tunnel
extensions can be attached to some pet doors to enable fitting through almost any depth of wall or door. Staywell have pet doors
specially designed for screen and glass fitting but Staywell do not recommend that the larger sizes are fitted into glass.
Finally, now that you have selected the size of door, the security locking system, and the type of fitting, you need to
choose which colour and flap finish will suit your home from the choices available.
how do I train my pet to use a pet door ?
Training your cat or dog to use a pet door is a quick and simple process.At first always help your pet through the pet door and holding the flap
open for your pet will help in the early days. The reward of food is an excellent way of encouraging the pet to use the pet door. By following
these tried and tested tips, training your pet becomes an enjoyable, fun experience and enables it to take full advantage of the outdoor freedom
and comfort which a pet door brings.
